Victim's 15-year-old brother and second teen arrested in connection with fatal shooting in SW OKC

New court documents showed a disagreement on social media led to the death of a metro high school student.

Oklahoma City police and the U.S. Marshals Service have arrested two teenagers who they say were involved in a planned shooting that turned deadly.

A 19-year-old was arrested on the subway and police announced Wednesday that the victim's 15-year-old brother was arrested in Kansas City. Police confirmed the two men were taken into custody on Tuesday.

An argument that took place on social media resulted in the death of 17-year-old Gjmon Davis. Davis' younger brother, Jeremyah Davis, and Zachary Ramsey, 19, were the first to be arrested for the deadly June 1 shooting.

“Police responded to Southwest Medical Center, apparently someone had been shot and was dropped off at the emergency room and the car left the scene,” said Msgt. Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police Department. “The victim was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital.”

According to court documents, hospital security footage showed Davis' 15-year-old brother helping the victim into and out of the hospital. Further investigation revealed that the victim, his younger brother and two others were involved in an argument on social media with another group. Police learned that the victim's brother was behind the shooting with the other side. This group gave them an address to come “fight or shoot”.

“The shooting happened (near) Southwest 25th (Street) and Youngs (Boulevard),” Knight said. “When officers went to that area, they discovered a scene there.”

Police said witness statements and evidence pointed to the involvement of Davis and Ramsey's younger brother in the shooting. Investigators filed arrest warrants for the two teens this week. Police have not said what Ramsey's role was in the shooting.

Ramsey was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a $10 million bond.

Oklahoma City Public Schools district officials confirmed Davis was a student at U.S. Grant High School.
