Victim of weekend crash on US 51 in Lincoln County identified | WSAU News/Talk 550 AM · 99.9 FM

MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the two people involved in a fatal crash on U.S. 51 in the town of Skanawan.

It started when an SUV driven by Alexia C Zuk, 20, of Crandon, lost control of her vehicle and crossed the southbound lanes into the northbound lanes. A utility van driven by George Rouman, 51, of Rhineland, struck his vehicle.

Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicle. Rouman died instantly.

Zuk was flown to a hospital in Wausau where she was treated and released.

A dog that was in Zuk's vehicle also died in the crash.

The incident closed part of US 51 North between approximately 11 p.m. Sunday and 7:45 a.m. Monday.
