Victim of quad bike accident in Gozo identified as Oriana Bertolino

Oriana Bertolino has been identified as the 31-year-old woman who tragically lost her life after falling off a cliff in a quad bike accident in Gozo last night.

Bertolino, an Italian national, was identified by Sicilian media outlet La Sicilia, which said she was part of a group excursion to watch the sunset near Wied il-Mielaħ, Għarb.

She was riding as a passenger on a quad near the cliffs. The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old Italian, had lost control of the vehicle and, while he managed to jump out of the vehicle in time, his passenger fell off the cliffs and into the sea.

Police and AFM searched the area and recovered the woman's body.
