Victim of northwest OKC stabbing identified

Police have identified the victim of a stabbing in Oklahoma City on June 28.

OKLAHOMA CITY –

The victim of a stabbing in northwest Oklahoma City has been identified by police as Allen Williams, 39.

The stabbing happened Friday, June 28, 2024, near Northwest 23rd Street and North MacArthur Boulevard, police said.

Investigators say the two men involved in the incident were fighting near the street when the suspect, William Avila, stabbed Williams to death and then fled on foot. Avila was later taken into custody and transported to the hospital.

Police said that after he is released from the hospital, Avila will be booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on a murder charge.
