Victim of fatal shooting in Kansas City, Kan., identified as Raymore man

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – The victim of a fatal shooting earlier this week in Kansas City, Kan., has been identified as a 25-year-old Raymore man.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department announced Thursday (June 20) that it had identified the victim in Tuesday's homicide as Justin R. Diaz, 25, of Raymore.

On Tuesday around 11:45 a.m., law enforcement said they were called to the 2000 block of N. 33rd Ter., near Mount Hope Cemetery, with reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they said they found Diaz with an apparent gunshot wound.

First responders noted that Diaz was pronounced deceased at the scene.
