Victim named in Lake Berryessa brawl; police arrest suspect

The man who was fatally shot during a fight at Lake Berryessa Saturday night has been identified as Andrew Fabian Sandoval Garcia, a 39-year-old Vallejo resident.

The large fight broke out around 5:30 Saturday evening in the Oak Shores day-use area, the Napa County Sheriff's Office said. The area is known for its beach activities, swimming and inshore fishing.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Henry Wofford said three other people were stabbed and punched and treated at the hospital, and two people were airlifted to hospitals in condition. severe.

One was released Sunday, but the other remained in the hospital, Wofford said.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation, but Wofford said Saturday's fight involved “at least two different groups of people fighting simultaneously.”
