Victim identified in single-vehicle crash last week on Garden Creek in Casper area

CASPER, Wyo. – One person died and another injured after a single-vehicle crash on May 22, 2024.

According to a preliminary report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, a Dodge Ram pickup truck was heading west on WY 252 near Casper Mountain when the driver failed to negotiate a left turn. The vehicle left the roadway to the right, flew off and struck the ground at the foot of an embankment before overturning. It came to rest uncontrollably on its roof, the report states.

According to the report, 33-year-old Wyoming resident Vaughn Beasley died in the crash. An unidentified person was injured. No details about the injuries were provided in the report.

The report said conditions were dry and seat belts were not used, and blamed speed as a possible factor.

The crash closed the area known as Garden Creek Road for part of the day.
