Victim identified in 'chaotic scene' in Napa; 1 fatally shot, 2 stabbed

(KRON) – The person who was fatally shot after a “large fight” in the 5500 block of Knoxville Road in Lake Berryessa in Napa County has been identified as 39-year-old Andres Fabian Sandoval Garcia , resident of Vallejo.

The shooting happened Saturday around 5:30 p.m. Responding officers located several individual injuries, describing the scene as “chaotic.” Despite deputies' efforts, Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.

Deputies say three other victims were injured by punches and stab wounds. Two of the victims were taken to hospital by air ambulance.

According to the preliminary investigation, two groups started a confrontation which resulted in a fight. One of the individuals retrieved a gun from his car and shot Garcia. The alleged perpetrator fled the scene, but was later arrested while being treated in hospital.

The identity of the suspect will be known after he is incarcerated, according to the sheriff's office.
