Van Buren woman arrested for involuntary manslaughter after son's blood tests positive for meth

A Van Buren woman was arrested Saturday after telling police she accidentally fed her son methamphetamine. In a report, police said Rachael Dukes' son Greyson died in late March. Investigators said there was methamphetamine and amphetamine in her son's blood. When police made contact with Dukes, she told them she didn't know how the meth got into her son's system. After searching his home and phone, police found evidence of drug use and sales. Dukes later admitted to purchasing and using methamphetamine while his son was alive. She told police she was “holding meth and it accidentally fell into the bottle.” Dukes was arrested on charges of involuntary manslaughter and second-degree battery. She was taken to the Crawford County Detention Center. No bail has been set.
