US teenager kills parents, shoots police officer in Florida, shooting caught on body camera

A 19-year-old killed his parents in their Tampa, Fla., home and shot a police officer in a shootout that was captured on the injured deputy's body camera. US authorities released video of the shooting with the teenager, who was also shot.

Christos Alexander Themelis shot his 51-year-old father, Christos Byron Themelis, inside the home, then shot his 48-year-old mother, Rebecca Ann Themelis, on the lawn in front of police shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday, the sheriff said of Hillsborough County. » said Office, according to the New York Post.

Police arrived at the home after receiving a “frantic” call to the 911 emergency number from Rebecca Ann Themelis who told the operator that her son had shot her husband.

When police arrived at the house, they asked the woman to walk towards them, footage posted on Facebook shows. But the teenager punched her in the back of the head while she was on the lawn. He then opened fire on the police.

“Stop fumbling for your belt,” a deputy could be heard yelling at the teen just before he started shooting.
