US Olympic Shooting Team: Paris 2024

COLO SPRGS, CO (June 22, 2024) – USA Shooting is excited to announce the full roster of rifle, pistol and shotgun athletes who will compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games from July 26 to August 11.

This summer, a total of seventeen remarkable athletes will proudly represent the U.S. Olympic Shooting Team in France. Our team is made up of seasoned Olympians and dynamic newcomers, all ready to showcase their skills on the world stage. See the list below:

    • Could become the sixth athlete to win the same individual Olympic event four times and only the fourth American to do so after Al Oerter, Carl Lewis and Michael Phelps (and the first in shooting). He also has a chance to become the first U.S. Olympic shooter since 1964 to win two medals at the same Games.

A handful of world-class coaches will join our athletes in France. Peter Durben, the US national rifle coach, will accompany the team as Olympic rifle coach. Jason Turner, the US National Pistol Coach, will join the athletes in Paris as the Olympic Pistol Coach. Jay Waldron, the U.S. national shotgun coach, will be on his way to Paris as the Olympic headshot coach. He will be joined in Paris by Lance Bade, the assistance trap coach, and Joe Buffa, the assistant skeet coach.

The American replacements in Olympic shooting for the Paris team are as follows:

Gun

  • Women's Air Pistol: Suman Sanghera and Lisa Emmert Traciak
  • Women's sports pistol: Lisa Emmert Traciak and Alexis Lagan

Shotgun

  • Men's Skeet: Phillip Jungman and Dustan Taylor
  • Women's Skeet: Sam Simonton and Katharina Jacob
  • Man Trap: Derek Haldeman and Seth Inman
  • Women's Trap: Ashley Carroll and Carey Garrison
