US Coast Guard rescues 5 from California boat fire

The U.S. Coast Guard says five people were rescued from a boat fire two miles off Salinas River State Beach. The fire involved a 48-foot pleasure boat. Currently, firefighters are trying to contain the fire, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. The five people are on board the US Coast Guard Cutter. No injuries have been reported. Firefighters say it was a fire in a compartment. At 6:02 p.m., firefighters were still trying to put out the fire because it was still smoldering. This is breaking news.
