UPDATE Taunton Police provide additional information on stabbing incident on Paul Bunker Drive

TAUNTON — Chief Edward Walsh is providing additional information regarding a stabbing incident involving multiple individuals on Paul Bunker Drive this afternoon. Police do not believe there is an active threat to the public at this time.

A 24-year-old man from TAUNTON was arrested following the incident and charges are pending.

At approximately 1:20 p.m., Taunton police responded to Paul Bunker Drive for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old Taunton man, a 21-year-old Taunton man and a 21-year-old Taunton man suffering from stab and slash wounds. All three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

THE 24-YEAR-OLD TAUNTON MAN was also taken to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries sustained in the altercation.

It is believed that the individuals all know each other and that the incident was not random.

The investigation is currently active and ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
