UPDATE: Suspects identified in Rhinelander Country Club vandalism | News

UPDATE: The suspects were identified as Landon Oldham-Schulte, 17, who was arrested and booked into the Oneida County Jail, and a 15-year-old suspect who was referred to the Department of Human Services for the burglary.

Additional charges will be added regarding property damage once the investigation is complete.

RHINLANDER, Wisconsin – Golf carts at the Rhinelander Country Club were vandalized between midnight and four a.m. Thursday morning.

Three golf carts were destroyed, including one that ended up in Boom Lake and one that was overturned. Vandals also used bunkers as jumps.

Three additional golf carts were removed from the property. The Country Club received two golf carts from the Rhenish police which were on property owned by Ahlstrom Munksjö and is still searching for the third.

Rhineland police said the initial investigation showed two minors were involved.

The Country Club's head golf professional says the vandalism cost the golf course about $70,000 in damage to golf carts alone. Other damage costs are still being determined.

The Rhineland police are investigating.
