*Update – Suspect Arrested* State Police Detectives Search for Second Suspect in Seaford Shooting – Delaware State Police

Delaware State Police arrested 20-year-old man Lucas Morrison of Georgetown, Delaware, for a shooting that occurred Wednesday in Seaford.

On May 29, 2024, at approximately 6:21 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 26000 block of Kelly Circle in Seaford for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they learned that two unknown suspects had shot multiple times into an occupied home and injured a 15-year-old girl. She was transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to her foot. Through investigative means, detectives identified Lukas and Tyler Morrison as the suspects in the shooting. On May 31, 2024, detectives arrested Lukas and continue to search for Tyler.

Lukas Morrison was arrested at Troop 4, charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and incarcerated in the Sussex Correctional Facility on $130,000 cash bail.

  • Assault 1st Diploma (Crime)
  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (Felony)
  • Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person (crime)
  • Reckless endangerment 1st Diploma (Felony) – 7 counts
  • Wearing a disguise when committing a crime (Felony)
  • Conspiracy 2sd Diploma (Crime)
  • Criminal mischief – 2 counts
