A dramatic rescue is underway this evening in Mendocino, where three people were initially stranded on a beach, pinned against a cliff by the rising tide.

Two of the trapped individuals managed to climb the cliff. However, a male around fifteen years old remains stranded on the beach. Emergency teams are now deploying water rescue means to free the teenager, who is in danger due to rising waters.

Scanner traffic indicates the beach is located near the 1100 block of Lansing Street, below the Sea Rock Inn.

According to the first report, around 7:17 p.m., the group attempted to climb the cliff to escape the rising tide.

The incident commander confirmed that no parties were injured, refusing ground and air ambulances.
