Update: Exotic dancer killed in Mandeville identified

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A woman who was shot and killed Saturday morning in Mandeville has been identified.

Relatives named her Dezesha Falconer, otherwise known as “Drama,” a resident of Burnt Savannah in St Elizabeth. Falconer was reportedly an exotic dancer.

According to preliminary reports, around 6 a.m., police were called to a gas station on Main Street where the woman's body was found face down on the ground. The area has been cordoned off.

Police believe the woman and a man were leaving a nightclub when, upon arriving at the gas station, they were attacked and shot.

The injured man suffered gunshot wounds to the upper body. Police speculate the man was the target of the attack, as he was also shot and killed in a 2022 shooting in Greenvale. Two men were killed in this incident.
