Up to $1,000 reward offered for tips locating missing Michigan teen

KENT COUNTY, MI — It's been nearly two weeks since 17-year-old Penelope “Penny” Wise was last seen, after leaving her home near Morley Park in Cedar Springs.

Wise was last seen wearing a flannel shirt and denim pants about five miles from her home, which she reportedly left on foot on Friday, May 31. The teen is 5 feet and 120 pounds with blonde hair and braces.

Kent County Sheriff's deputies asked anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact their local police department or the Sheriff's Office at 616-632-6100.

On Thursday, June 13, Silent Observer announced a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to Wise's whereabouts or helps deputies safely return the teen.

Wise was last spotted when he was captured on a surveillance camera at 6 p.m. on May 31 on Rockford Park Drive near Northland Drive. The location is approximately five miles from Wise's home.

The teenager has not been heard from for 13 days. Law enforcement and family members are concerned for his well-being and eager for any information that could help the investigation.

Anyone with information about Wise's disappearance is asked to contact the Kent County Sheriff's Department at 616-632-6125 during the day or 616-632-6100 after 5 p.m.

As mentioned above, Silent Observer will pay up to $1,000 in reward for information provided to any of its tip lines that helps lead detectives to Penny or her safe return.
