Uniontown man who shot teenage ex-girlfriend pleads guilty

The man accused of shooting a teenage girl at a Fayette County home last November has pleaded guilty. According to authorities, Nathan Glasscock told authorities he went to a home to shoot his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend's grandmother in November 2023. Glasscock allegedly went to the home to shoot the woman because she was interfering with his relationship. However, according to the victim's great-aunt, Michele Pinkney, his plan included shooting everyone. “I think his intention was to kill or shoot them all,” Pinkney said. Pinkney said Glasscock broke into the house and initially chased the 18-year-old grandson, but gave up. Police said Glasscock told them he tried to shoot the grandmother, but instead hit the victim. Pinkney said that wasn't true. Leydig was at least 10 feet away from her granddaughter when she saw her fall backwards to the ground. Pinkney said Glasscock lied to the family about his age, telling them he was 19 when he was dating the teenage victim. “My sister wouldn't let this relationship happen knowing he was 36,” Pinkney said. Glasscock is expected to be sentenced in July.
