Two women charged with burglary on Long Island: police

FRANKLIN SQUARE, Long Island (PIX11) — Two women were allegedly caught entering a home without permission Sunday morning on Long Island, according to police.

A 30-year-old woman was lying in her Park Lane basement around 1 a.m. when she saw a light shining through her window. According to police, she then heard “aggressive banging”.


Police said the woman followed the sound and allegedly found Ashley Dunn, 27, of North Bellmore, New York, and Kelly Walsh, 27, of Denville, NJ, inside her home without permission.

Dunn and Walsh began attacking the victim. They pulled the victim's hair, punched her and slapped her several times, according to police.

Police arrived at the home and arrested Dunn and Walsh for burglary, officials said.

Police say the victim knew Dunn and Walsh.

The victim suffered injuries to his head, neck and chest but refused medical treatment, police said.
