Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the Aurora Hills shooting Wednesday that sent two boys to the hospital, police said Friday.

A 14-year-old boy was arrested on three outstanding warrants – second-degree assault, third-degree assault and criminal mischief – and a 15-year-old boy was arrested for being suspected of several weapons-related charges and obstructing a police officer, Aurora. » said police department spokesperson Sydney Edwards.

The 15-year-old possessed an illegally modified handgun equipped with an automatic switch that converts a semi-automatic handgun to a fully automatic weapon, Edwards said.

Investigators are still working to determine the arrested teens' exact involvement in Wednesday's shooting, she said. It is unclear whether the firearms confiscated from the 15-year-old were used in the shooting.

Police have found all suspects and victims involved and will work with the district attorney's office to determine appropriate charges for the others who have not yet been arrested, Edwards said.
