Two teenagers killed in car crash, two others seriously injured

Staffordshire Police are investigating after the 18-year-old driver of a Ford Ka and his 17-year-old front passenger were pronounced dead at the scene last night.

Emergency crews were called to the scene in Cannock Road just before midnight to reports of a single-vehicle collision with four victims.

According to law enforcement, despite the crews' efforts, the males did not survive.

Two 17-year-old female passengers were taken to hospital and seriously injured.

Sgt Richard Moors, of the Staffordshire and West Midlands Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the young people who tragically lost life and to those who were injured.

“Specialist officers are supporting their families at this difficult time and we ask that their privacy be respected. A full and detailed investigation is currently underway to establish the cause of the collision.
