ROCHESTER — Two Rochester teenagers were arrested after allegedly stealing items from unlocked vehicles in Fulton County.

Kirsta Sky Cheesman, 19, 200 W. 5th St., Rochester, is charged with theft, a class A misdemeanor.

On May 25, a Fulton County Sheriff's Office deputy took three reports of thefts near Rochester Community High School. All the thefts took place from unlocked vehicles. A person reported that a firearm in their vehicle was stolen.

According to court documents, a second person said her Kate Spade purse containing several credit cards was stolen from her vehicle. She said someone working at Beacon Credit Union contacted her about finding one of her debit cards near their ATM.

Officers viewed surveillance footage from the bank and discovered Cheesman driving the suspect vehicle near the ATM. The woman said three transactions totaling more than $300 were made on one of her cards, one of them involving a Cash App transfer to Cheesman.

The deputy then found Cheesman's vehicle and stopped him. Cheesman was driving at the time and Hernandez was a front passenger. Hernandez said he had weapons on him and officers found the stolen firearm on him.

Cheesman will hold a pretrial conference at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 3 in Fulton County.
