Two people killed in house near Maiden identified

The two people killed at a Lincoln County home have been identified.

Tabatha Michelle Funderburk-Eades and Austin Bradley Tallent were identified as the people killed at a Lincoln County home near Maiden, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

The sheriff's office did not provide the ages or addresses of the identified victims.

Conway Storm Cook, 32, of Lincolnton, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder, the sheriff's office said.

A third victim remains on life support at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, the sheriff's office said.

Funderburk and Tallent were found dead at 715 Springs East Road around 4 a.m. Wednesday.

Lincoln County Sheriff Bill Beam said the victims were beaten to death, WSOC-TV's Dave Faherty reported.
