Two people injured in shooting near Milwaukee parks

Two people were injured after two shootings near Milwaukee on June 15. The two happened about 30 minutes apart. The Milwaukee Police Department said a 6-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were shot near 37th Street and Meinecke Avenue around 5 a.m. : 3 p.m. on June 15. A WISN 12 News crew at the scene saw tape blocking the butterfly park. Both should survive. No one is in custody. The police are investigating. A few blocks from that scene, Milwaukee firefighters said they were called to a shooting in Sherman Park about 30 minutes later. A WISN 12 News photojournalist on scene saw dozens of evidence markers outside the Mary Ryan Boys & Girls Club. Firefighters said they did not take anyone to the hospital. It is unclear whether the two shootings are related. Anyone with information should call Milwaukee police.
