Two people charged with murder after man stabbed to death

Two 17-year-old boys have been charged with the murder of 18-year-old Codie Bambrick in Leicester.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Glazebrook Road, New Parks, just before 1.15pm BST on Wednesday.

The victim was treated for his injuries by air ambulance but was pronounced dead at the scene, Leicestershire Police said.

An autopsy confirmed that Mr. Bambrick died from a stab wound, law enforcement said.

A third boy, aged 17, was charged with violent disorder, assault occasioning actual bodily harm to another and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

All three are expected to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

A 38-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man have been released on bail on suspicion of violent disorder in connection with the incident.

A 52-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the incident. He was later released under investigation.
