Two people arrested for prostitution and money laundering after Green Spa's bankruptcy

ST. LANDRY PARISH, Louisiana (KLFY)– Two women were arrested after authorities executed a search warrant at Green Spa in Opelousas; authorities had received several complaints alleging that women at the business were involved in a prostitution operation.

According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz: “Over the past several months, the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office has received numerous complaints from citizens regarding the business identified as Green Spa located at 628 Creswell Lane Opelousas, Louisiana . The plaintiffs said the female employees engaged in sexual acts for money.

St. Landry Parish law enforcement executed a search warrant at Green Spa, located at 628 Creswell Lane, and arrested two women identified as Xiaoxia Li, 44, aka Yuang Yong, and Luyanxing Couras , 55 years. A man who was questioned at the scene, but was later released.

Authorities seized two $2487.00, two DVRs, seven cell phones, an external hard drive, an iPad, two checkbooks for someone who was not at the spa, a handwritten ledger, numerous business and professional documents and an ATM .

The investigation showed that the women had disguised the massage parlor as a brothel. Authorities discovered that the two women were offering sexual favors for money, and after interviewing the customers, detectives discovered that the women were soliciting the customers to perform various sexual acts for money.

The ATM was conveniently placed in the lobby of the business to allow customers to obtain cash to pay for sex acts, according to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office.

Law enforcement officials said the two suspects were not very cooperative and claimed to speak very little English. Both women are charged with money laundering, operating a place of prostitution and inciting prostitution, with bail set at $10,000. The suspects later walked free after their arrest.
