Two people arrested for drug trafficking and discovery of weapons | KWKT

HICO, Texas (FOX 44) – Two people were arrested after drugs, weapons and stolen property were seized in Hamilton County.

Bosque County Sheriff's deputies, assisted by the Hico Police Department, executed a search warrant on Poplar Street in Hico on Tuesday. Oran investigators arrested Daniel Singleton and Brandi Rogers at the scene.


According to Bosque County Sheriff Trace Hendricks, the search warrant was obtained following a lengthy investigation into drug trafficking occurring in multiple jurisdictions. During a search of the residence, investigators located and took into custody a quantity of methamphetimine, marijuana and illegally possessed prescription drugs. Firearms were also found and recovered, some of which were identified as stolen.

Singleton was transported to the Bosque County Jail and is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute – a first-degree felony; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon – a third-degree felony; Unlawful Possession of Metal or Body Armor by Felon – a third-degree felony; and Possession of Dangerous Drugs – a class A misdemeanor.

Rogers was also transported to the Bosque County Jail and is charged with possession of a controlled substance – a second-degree felony; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon – a third-degree felony; Unlawful Possession of Metal or Body Armor by Felon – a third-degree felony; and Possession of Dangerous Drugs – a class A misdemeanor.
