Two people arrested for alleged drug possession – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – Two Rochester men were arrested for possession of a large amount of fentanyl and cocaine.

According to the Rochester Police Department, on June 6, officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 52 near 85th Street NW and executed arrest warrants for Omar Mohamed, 23, and Seila Ibrahim, 24 years.

Both were the subject of an ongoing narcotics investigation and were believed to be supplying drugs to distributors.

The arrest warrants resulted in the seizure of approximately 7,000 M30 fentanyl tablets and nearly 300 grams of cocaine as well as the arrest of Ibrahim and Mohamed.

“We are committed to removing fentanyl and other narcotics from the City of Rochester. In this case, our proactive efforts prevented a significant amount of drugs from having a potentially devastating impact on our community,” Police Chief Jim Franklin said in a statement.

Both men face multiple drug charges. Ibrahim was given unconditional bail of $200,000 and Mohamed unconditional bail of $500,000.
