Two people arrested after drug bust in Southeast Roanoke

ROANOKE, Virginia. – Two people were arrested Friday following a drug bust in southeast Roanoke, according to Virginia State Police.

The Star City Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, along with members of the City of Roanoke Violence Suppression Unit, executed two narcotics-related search warrants in Southeast Roanoke .

During the operation, Nathan Dooley, 22, was identified as a drug trafficker. We're told special agents and officers made controlled purchases of suspected fentanyl.

Search warrants were obtained and executed in the 1300 block of Dale Avenue SE and the 600 block of 19th Street SE, both in Roanoke, by VSP.

As a result of the searches, authorities seized 17.3 grams of suspected fentanyl, 8.4 grams of methamphetamine, 7.3 grams of an unknown powder, 14 prescription pills and two firearms.

Dooley and Stephanie Mills, 32, both of Roanoke, Virginia, were arrested and charged with:

  • Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl

  • Possession of methamphetamine

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

  • Possession of a firearm while in possession of Schedule 1-2 narcotics

Dooley and Mills are currently being held without bail at the Roanoke Adult Detention Center.

According to VSP, additional charges will be presented after consultation with the Commonwealth Attorney's Office.
