Police have released security camera footage of two men in connection with an alleged arson that occurred early Wednesday morning, July 3, in the area of Eastern and Knox avenues.

Two suspects are being sought by Toronto police in connection with an alleged arson that occurred earlier this week in east Toronto.

Police responded to a call of a fire in the area of Eastern and Knox avenues on Wednesday, July 3, at approximately 3:58 a.m.

Police said two suspects went to a local shop and a window was allegedly smashed with stones. Bottles of accelerant and a jerrycan were then used to set the fire, police said.

The fire caused significant damage to the building, police said in a July 5 news release.

The two suspects fled the area in a small black SUV with a square rear.

The suspects are between 20 and 30 years old, with a thin build, wearing black hoodies, sweatpants and sneakers. One of the suspect's hoodies had the Roots logo and writing on it.
