Two men wanted in connection with suspected arson at business near Eastern and Knox avenues this week – Beach Metro Community News

Police have released security camera footage of two men in connection with an alleged arson that occurred early Wednesday morning, July 3, in the area of ​​Eastern and Knox avenues.

Two suspects are being sought by Toronto police in connection with an alleged arson that occurred earlier this week in east Toronto.

Police responded to a call of a fire in the area of ​​Eastern and Knox avenues on Wednesday, July 3, at approximately 3:58 a.m.

Police said two suspects went to a local shop and a window was allegedly smashed with stones. Bottles of accelerant and a jerrycan were then used to set the fire, police said.

The fire caused significant damage to the building, police said in a July 5 news release.

The two suspects fled the area in a small black SUV with a square rear.

The suspects are between 20 and 30 years old, with a thin build, wearing black hoodies, sweatpants and sneakers. One of the suspect's hoodies had the Roots logo and writing on it.
