Two men injured after shooting in Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two men were injured following a shooting in Pittsfield Friday evening.

Just after 5 p.m., officers were called to the area of ​​North Street at Bradford Street for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, two Pittsfield men were found with gunshot wounds.


Both men were transported to Berkshire Medical Center for their injuries and are expected to survive. Police believe they were both shot by the same person who fled the incident on foot.

The Pittsfield Police Department is investigating the incident as well as the fatal shooting that occurred on June 11. Pittsfield Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Fenn Street in response to a report of a man who may have been shot. In the driver's seat of a vehicle, the officer observed an unconscious adult male with an apparent gunshot wound.

The officer called a paramedic who then attempted to save the victim's life, but police say she was pronounced dead.
