Two injured after Maryland high school shooting

Police said the suspect fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

OXON HILL, Md. — Prince George's County Police Department crews are investigating a shooting at Potomac High School in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Police said the shooting happened in the morning, in the middle of a sporting event. So far, police have reported two victims and said the suspect fled the scene after the shooting.

Prince George Police notified the community via their X account, formerly Twitter, saying they were continuing to gather information:

WUSA9 contacted Prince George's County Public Schools and they clarified that “none of the students were involved.”

Prince George's County Public School officials added that Potomac High School's last day of school was June 13.
