Two Dunkirk residents arrested after four months of anti-drug investigation

(WJET/WFXP) – A search warrant was executed in Dunkirk, NY after a four-month investigation.

Narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, assisted by the Dunkirk Police Department, executed a search warrant in the 3700 block of Route 5 in Dunkirk.


Upon entry, members of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's SWAT team located two men inside, a 34-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from Dunkirk.

Investigators reportedly seized 21.47 grams of cocaine, a quantity of fentanyl, controlled prescription pills, two 9mm handguns, two high-capacity magazines, scales, packaging materials and $778 in cash .

The 34-year-old man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal nuisance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with evading justice on a felony warrant from Cape May County, New Jersey.

The 20-year-old man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both suspects were taken to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office for arraignment.
