Two dead, several injured in Huntington Beach stabbing – NBC Los Angeles

Huntington Beach police were investigating a stabbing Friday in Huntington Beach near the pier that left two people dead and several others injured.

Officers responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon near 16th Street and Pecan Avenue around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, the Huntington Beach Police Department posted on its X account.

When police arrived at the scene, they found several injured victims.

Huntington Beach police confirmed that two people died and three others were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“HBPD has no reason to believe there is any additional threat to public safety related to this incident,” police said.

One person was arrested, according to HBPD.

It is unclear what exactly led to the stabbing.
