Two dead in apparent murder-suicide in Chickasaw, Mobile Sheriff's Office says

Two people died in what the Mobile County Sheriff's Office suspects was a murder-suicide in Chickasaw, a town of about 6,100 north of Mobile.

Chickasaw police were called to a residence on Ryan Street shortly before 5:30 a.m. Thursday after reports that two people had been shot. The police in turn contacted the sheriff's office for assistance. When detectives arrived on scene, they found Tracus Wiggins, 27, and his girlfriend, Haley Sharpe, 25, each dead from apparent gunshot wounds to the head.

Wiggins was found on the floor of the carport at the residence where the two men were staying, while Sharpe was found inside her vehicle.

Investigators believe it to be a murder-suicide, but a determination will be made once toxicology and autopsy reports are received.
