Two dead identified in single-vehicle crash in Palm Desert

Two men killed in a single-vehicle crash in Palm Desert have been identified.

The crash was reported around 6 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Painters Path and Fred Waring Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The department's Palm Desert Traffic Team said the car was traveling westbound on Fred Waring Drive at the time of the crash. The vehicle crashed into a brick wall while traveling at a high speed, and two people were extricated from the vehicle, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
