TSA worker charged in alleged road rage shooting; bullets hit car – The News Herald

Michigan State Police are investigating an alleged road rage shooting on northbound I-275 near Sibley Road after a vehicle was struck by gunfire.

Alec Nicholas Thieman, 28, of Deta, Ohio, was charged with Assault with Intent to Kill, Assault with Intent to Do Serious Bodily Injury, Felonious Assault, Reckless Driving, Commission of a Felony with a motor vehicle and three counts of felony firearm. in the incident.

He was arraigned Friday morning in 34th District Court and given a $250,000 cash bond.

The probable cause conference is scheduled for June 26 at 8:30 a.m., before Judge Lisa Martin.

The events occurred on June 12 around 6:40 a.m.

According to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, while driving north on I-275 near Pennsylvania Road, Thieman allegedly produced and fired a handgun, twice hitting a car driven by a Romulus from 46 years.

The victim was not shot during the shooting, police said.

According to Michigan State Police, the Romulus Police Department notified officers of the shooting and requested their assistance.
