Triple stabbing reported in Taunton, Massachusetts, man arrested: police

Three people were reportedly stabbed in an incident in Taunton on Tuesday afternoon, according to police who have arrested a suspected suspect.

Taunton police responded to a multiple stabbing on Paul Bunker Drive around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old Taunton man and two 21-year-old Taunton men suffering from stab and cut wounds. All three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

Officers at the scene arrested a 24-year-old Taunton man and he has been charged. The suspect, whose name has not been released, was also taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries sustained in the altercation.

“It is believed that the individuals are all known to each other and that the incident is not random,” Taunton police said in a statement.

“Police do not believe there is an active threat to the public at this time,” the department added.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
