Trial is set for a man accused of stabbing his estranged wife's friend last fall in Farmington Hills.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Oct. 29 in Oakland County Circuit Court for the case against Curtis Leroy Washington, Jr., 34, charged with two counts of assault with attempted murder and domestic violence – second offense. The alleged domestic violence against his ex-wife occurred about two weeks before the assault, according to Farmington Hills police.

Washington allegedly broke into his ex-wife's home in the Timber Ridge Apartments on September 29, 2023, and attacked the other man, a Warren resident, with a knife. The police officers who intervened on the scene are said to have saved the life of the victim, who was allegedly attacked upon their arrival.
