Travis Scott arrested in Miami Beach – NBC 6 South Florida

Rapper Travis Scott was arrested early Thursday morning in Miami Beach after allegedly yelling at people on a yacht and admitting he had been drinking, telling officers “This is Miami,” authorities said.

Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, was charged with trespassing on property and disorderly intoxication, according to Miami-Dade prison records. He then posted bail, set at $650.

According to an arrest report, officers went to Pier D at 300 Alton Road for a disturbance on one of the yachts. Scott allegedly yelled at the ship's occupants from the dock.

The officers told him to sit down, but he continued to get up. Authorities told him to leave or be arrested, according to the report.

The complainant did not want to file a complaint, but wanted the rapper to leave the ship.

“Throughout the long walk from the vessel to the promenade, the defendant walked backwards while shouting obscenities at the occupants of the vessel,” authorities said.

When Scott returned to a waiting vehicle, he allegedly “told one of his security guards to get out of the vehicle.” The defendant then told officers, “If he gets in the vehicle, he's going to catch a fade, 'which is slang for fighting,' police said.

Eventually, he left the marina in a vehicle, but returned five minutes later, bypassing officers in the parking lot and heading toward the yacht, according to the arrest report.

Police said that when Scott began speaking to officers, he began shouting, “becoming erratic, disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings, causing a public disturbance.” .

Scott, 33, was arrested and later “admitted he had drunk alcohol and said 'This is Miami,'” according to police.

At 8:45 a.m., the rapper appeared to joke about his arrest by tweeting, “Lol.” He also later shared an edited photo of her photo on his Instagram Story.
