Travis Posey, 44, identified as suspect in Arkansas shooting that left three dead, 10 injured at Fordyce grocery store

The suspected shooter in the mass shooting in Arkansas that left three dead and ten injured Friday has been identified by police.

Travis Posey, 44, was arrested Friday after allegedly opening fire at a supermarket in Fordyce, Arkansas, shortly after 11:30 a.m.

Posey was taken into custody hours after the shooting, just before 6:30 p.m., according to Ouachita County Sheriff's Department inmate records.

Posey was “grazed in the head” by a bullet after a shootout with police before being taken into custody, according to local NBC affiliate KARK-TV.

The massacre left a total of 14 people shot, three of whom were killed.

The three victims killed in the shooting have not been identified.

Among the injured were two police officers who are both expected to be OK, according to Arkansas State Police.

Posey is also believed to be among 11 people shot at the scene.

But of the other 10 gunshot wounds, Arkansas State Police say their injuries range from “non-life-threatening to extremely serious.”

At least 11 gunshots can be heard in a video posted to X, formerly Twitter, from the scene.

Photos obtained by CBS affiliate KTHV also show a window of the grocery store now filled with bullet holes as police investigated the scene.
