Tragic update: Third teenager dies after horror crash

A 17-year-old girl has died after an accident which had already claimed the lives of two Welsh teenagers. The girl died in hospital on Tuesday (May 28) from her injuries sustained in the accident in Staffordshire last Saturday.

Another 17-year-old girl is currently being treated in hospital and is said to be in a “stable condition”, according to Staffordshire Police. At the crash site on Cannock Road, a Welsh flag stands in memory of Dafydd Huw Craven-Jones, 18, and Morgan Jones, 17, who both lost their lives in the crash.




Investigations into this tragic incident are ongoing by police. The group of teenagers were traveling in a Ford Ka when they were involved in the single-vehicle crash.

Police confirmed the death of the latest victim, expressing condolences. A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “His family are being supported by specialist officers at this difficult time and we ask that their privacy be respected.”


They added: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision. The teenagers were traveling on Cannock Road, Penkridge, in a Ford Ka. We were called just before midnight to reports of a collision and arrived shortly After. “.

The two teenagers who also died have been named as Dafydd Huw Craven-Jones, 18, from Tanyfron, Wrexham, and Morgan Jones, 17, from Coedpoeth, Wrexham. Heartfelt tributes were paid to the young men.

Dafydd's family described him as a “beautiful soul, a wonderful son” and shared that he was “helping” their friend at the time of the accident. Morgan's family painted a portrait of a “kind, caring and loving young man” who was passionate about sports and had a passion for agriculture.
