Torino are determined to sign a promising Inter Milan teenager but face competition from Sampdoria and Cagliari

Turin are reportedly keen to sign Inter Milan youngster Francesco Pio Esposito, but Sampdoria and Cagliari remain in the fray.

The forward, who turns 19 today, spent the season on loan at Spezia and impressed enough to attract the attention of top-flight clubs.

According to La Stampa via FcInterNewsTorino have identified the young bomber as the right profile to strengthen their attacking ranks for next season.

The Granata are pushing to secure a deal with Inter for the Italian starlet,

For their part, the Nerazzurri would like to keep control over the player's future. However, they are ready to find him a new club where he could gain playing time, especially in Serie A.

But while Torino are doing their best to seal the deal, Sampdoria are hoping to sabotage their plans.

Francesco Pio's older brother Sebastiano Esposito was himself loaned to Luigi Ferraris this season. The 21-year-old is reportedly close to joining Empoli this summer.

Therefore, the Blucerchiati have turned their attention to the youngest of the three Esposito siblings, as they look to strengthen their squad in their bid to secure promotion.

Finally, the source mentions Cagliari as a third option, but at this point it seems unlikely.

The report adds that Inter would be willing to send the youngster on loan with an option to buy. However, they would certainly want to insert a buy-back clause into the deal with the other club.

This season, Esposito has scored three goals in his 38 Serie B appearances. He has also scored two goals in his six caps for Italy U21.
