Topeka man arrested after stabbing Saturday

TOPEKA (KSNT) – A man is in custody after a stabbing that happened Saturday afternoon in Topeka.

On June 15, at approximately 2:37 p.m., Topeka Police Department (TPD) officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of SW Western Ave in reference to a stabbing. When police arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. They were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to a TPD press release, after further investigation, Xavian Locke, 24, of Topeka, was arrested and taken to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for aggravated battery and a county warrant.

The victim is currently in stable condition.
