Foxboro teen hailed by SE Voke

Southeast Regional Vocational Technical High School recognized Foxboro resident Sophia Charlesworth, a graduate of the school's dental assisting program, for her major academic and career achievements.

SE Voke salutes a teenager from each of the nine cities that send students to school as part of its Senior in the Spotlight program.

Charlesworth hopes to become a dental hygienist and, after graduation, will continue to work full time as a dental assistant and study nursing and sonography at the Community College of Rhode Island in the fall.

Neponset River Association to speak on climate impact

The Neponset River Watershed Association has partnered with the Town of Dedham, Weston & Sampson, the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, and nine other communities in the Neponset River watershed, to undertake a comprehensive watershed planning project. climate impact.

This collaboration aims to develop strategies to mitigate flood risks and strengthen regional cooperation to address climate-related public health and safety risks in the region.

As part of this initiative, the project team is inviting the public to participate in a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, June 11 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is an opportunity to engage with community members to discuss plans to to reduce flood risks and promote cooperation.
