Tippecanoe County teen stabbed in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A juvenile victim is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed in downtown Lafayette, police confirmed Thursday.

Lafayette Police Department officers were called Thursday afternoon to the 300 block of N. 3rd Street for a stabbing.


Upon arrival, officers discovered a minor victim with stab wounds. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is currently listed in critical condition, police said.

During the investigation, LPD officers arrested two juveniles who were allegedly involved in the stabbing. All of the juvenile suspects involved were teenagers, LPD said.

“At this time, the investigation is still very fresh and ongoing,” said LPD Sergeant Shawn Verma. “Further updates will be released as the investigation progresses. »
