Three teenagers, including two 14-year-old boys, arrested in connection with an attack in a city center

POLICE investigating an assault on a member of staff at a city center car park have arrested three teenagers in connection with the incident.

Shortly before 5pm on Thursday, May 30, police were called to reports of an assault in the car park of Time Square, Warrington.

It was reported that a small group of youths had attacked a member of staff and fled the scene. The victim, a 32-year-old man, was slightly injured during the incident.

The entire scene was filmed by CCTV and after viewing the footage, three young people were identified. Two 14-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy have since been arrested on suspicion of affray. They were released on bail.

Inspector Christopher Webster said: “Firstly, I would like to reassure members of the public and anyone who may have seen what happened unfold, that this is an isolated incident.
“Three people have been arrested in connection with this incident and we hope this will reassure people that we are committed to tackling behavior of this nature and that it will not be tolerated.
