Three suspected killers and a convicted armed robber escape from Tangi prison

Cops are searching for four escapees from the Tangipahoa Parish Jail after they escaped from a fence at the facility.

“The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is currently searching for the whereabouts of four escaped inmates,” the TPSO said.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards says the four inmates managed to escape the perimeter fence during their playtime in the yard.

“Upon inspection of the perimeter fence, a section of the fence was found to be vulnerable and easy to maneuver such that a small body could pass through.”

The four topics in general are:

-Omarion Hookfin 19 years old b/m from Hammond
-Avery Guidry – 19 years old born from Natalbany
-Jamarcus Cyprian – 20 years b/m from Amite
-Travon Johnson – 21 years old, born in Natalbany

“Johnson, Hookfin and Guidry were in prison following their arrest for a 2022 homicide in Hammond, while Cyprian was serving time for armed robbery and weapons-related charges.”

Edwards is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of the four subjects to contact 911.
