Three people stabbed, two fatally, during 'domestic disturbance' in Springfield

Two women were stabbed to death and a man was seriously injured in Springfield on Sunday morning after police were called to a “domestic disturbance.”

A man was arrested at the scene and police are investigating the incident, Springfield police spokesman Ryan Walsh said in a statement. statement.

Police responded to the 100 block of Marion Street around 11:25 a.m., Walsh said.

Police found two women at the scene who had been stabbed and pronounced dead. A third victim was transported to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries, according to Walsh.

Homicide investigators from the Springfield Police Department and the Hampden County District Attorney's Homicide Unit are investigating the incident.
